I've started working as a videographer/marketer/advertising for a law firm, and I need to wear a suit and tie when I go film depositions. That seems understandable. I am also suppose to check the calendar, if clients are scheduled to come into I also need to wear a suit. I asked about when nothing is scheduled, I was told I can dress more “casual” and “dress pants/shirt/tie” are okay. It feels so outdated to be wearing a tie while sitting at the computer all day, when no visitors are coming in.
