A full time 40 hour/week job actually takes much more than 40 hours from you – the 8 hours of “free” time/day are a joke

So we have the 8 hours work/8 hours sleep/8 hours free time work day – huh? Nonsense! It doesnt take into account all the time you need to invest into these 8 work hours. Like getting up – getting ready – commuting – house work – showering ect I get up at 7 AM and start at my job at 8:30 AM so 1.5 hours of my “free” time are gone by getting up – dressing – eating -and commuting. Then I spend the next 8.5 hours at my job. The 0.5 hours are “free time” in theory – but in reality its just enough time to eat a meal. I get up at 7 AM and start at my job at 8:30 AM so 1.5 hours of my “free” time are gone by getting up – dressing – eating -and commuting. Then I spend the next 8.5 hours at my job. The 0.5 hours are “free time” in theory – but in reality its just enough time to eat a meal. Then I need to get through traffic and I am home at around 6 PM.

Thats 11 hours gone – 3 hours of my 8 hours “free time” gone. Then I need to shower – prepare some clothes for the next day – some people even have to do some extra work at home for their job – cook dinner ect and another 1-2 hours gone.

So I have like 3-4 hours of free time before going to bed at 11 PM. So the 8 hours day actually takes away more like 12 hours from me.I dont know how people with kids manage – how people can go to the gym every day for like 1-2 hours – how people can ready like 10 book/month – how people can do anything while working full time.

EDIT: WTH? What sick slave boy downvoted this?
