A job took three months to decline my application.

About three months ago, I applied to a Wawa gas station near my area because my primary job had cut my hours and I wanted to do something to get those hours back. A week after I had sent the application I went into the store to check on the status of my application. They asked for my name and phone number and said they’d look at it. They never called me regarding anything. Eventually I just assumed that they turned me down and I moved on from wanting to work there. But imagine my surprise when earlier TODAY I get an email response to my application. “We appreciate your interest in Wawa and the time you’ve taken to share your background and experience with us. Upon review, your application was not selected to move to the next phase of the selection process for the Customer Service Associate position.” Would…

Would it have been so much trouble to just tell me no straight out instead of waiting THREE FREAKING MONTHS??? Even if they had accepted my application, did they really expect me to still be interested in the job?? Unacceptable!
