I thought you guys might appreciate this story.
I worked for a alarm company a couple of years ago, one day I was called out to a place to warranty a couple of security cameras. I took the cameras down and they were old.. like 3-5 years old, I asked the other guy “How long do they warranty cameras ?”. He took a deep breath and told me the story.
A few years ago they had a sales guy and for about 6 months before he quit he changed the contracts he had customers sign to say they had a “Lifetime Guarantee” on all products. He sold a lot of stuff.. and the company has lost a lot of money replacing much of it.
The job we worked on we had to rent a scissor lift and install two new cameras all for free. It is funny because that company has a revolving door of employees that the toxic owners and management continually runs off.
