a story i would like to share:

i applied to the open team lead position in my small department. i interviewed and it went well. a little while later my manager tells me that i didn't get the job because i don't have enough experience. i have the most experience in the department. the person who got the job was from another department and was only more experienced (worked there 3 months longer) than i had and knew nothing about our department. i started looking for other jobs but had to stick around for the time being. the monthly schedule comes out and i see that i need to cover for someone who has a different job than i do on two days at the end of the month. i promptly send an email to my manager and lead that they will need to find someone else to cover those shifts as i will not. my manager…
