So I am working for some time in a company that gather and deliver groceries to the customers' doors, as a courier/delivery guy. As the inflation goes, there are some staff shortages and that causes delays before even couriers hit the streets.
As the “delay festival” goes for like 4-5 days, one in the middle of my shift i got myself into a situation like that: After first series of deliveries (where all of couriers were on delay bc of the staff shortages) I got back to the base to collect other deliveries and continue work. During that one of the managers asked me about work specific thing, and before i even started to answer, my boss came to me and fleet mgr, starting to complain that I could talk and pack orders at the same time.
Split second after my boss ended, I got mad and sweared at him (since couriers at this company doesn't get any break other than driving to another destination and conversation with manager was going to be a quick break to catch a breath). which resulted in harsh scold from boss.
Later on that day I got furious and called HR to consult the situation. The situation twisted 180, as HR head started to ask me about some opinions about my boss, and my observations about work. So I told that the situation isn't going well etc. as my colleagues at work are also unhappy with boss being rude and harsh.
About few days later I was told that my boss went to a meeting, and got first and final warning, with a note to get better at understanding his team of couriers. Also I know that other couriers did the same thing with HR head, just like me. From now on, my boss is very cautious, and is more scared, because everyone knows that his behavior won't change anytime soon, which will propably result in getting boss fired.
After all of that, and my previous experience, before the call with HR I was sure that i was going to be fired from job, but now I can do my job as before. After this I don't know if I would want to sign longer term contract with a company after this one, especially as there is more shit happening at work. The only thing that keeps me from quitting is my salary and good terms of contract.
