A younger family member was fired last week…

They were in tears as they told me and said they enjoyed the job and tried their best. As adults we know there’s a myriad of factors and political games that could play into these type of decisions… They are a teenager though and they are taking it relatively rough. They completed their probationary period and were just told that the work was unsatisfactory. Without any prior warnings or comments being given. Over the past few months I’ve expressed the sentiment of this sub to this individual here and there but it looks like it didn’t hold too much weight. I want to be there for them but at the same time I’d like to somehow teach them that shit like this happens all the time through no fault of the individuals. Would anyone be able to give me a few pointers?
