I was recently given a “PIP” (performance improvement plan) to either get up to speed or be let go by the end of the month, thus termination appears imminent. I won't even bother to try and salvage this. The job while decent enough has been a struggle as its been difficult for me to fully grasp the tasks at hand as I have ADD and auditory processing disorder. Lets get September over with so I can cash out and take my paid unemployment vacation. 2nd termination in less than a year and my 5th termination overall, usually because i'm slow to learn the job and make too many mistakes. I've held 15 jobs since age 16 (currently 28).
While I look forward to taking it easy for winter I will admit, its tiring constantly churning through jobs. When you've cycled through as many jobs as I have apathy begins to set in as you learn to build a nest egg and have contingencies. I can't take my career seriously anymore, there's no point in becoming invested. The “job count” is almost a game at this point. Oh well, as long as I have cash flow and can maximize my paychecks.
