One of my biggest pet peeves in this industry which has a LOT of problems. I’ve worked in many hospitals across different states and it is basically universal to not get ANY sick days! Not only that but if you are sick and have to call out your PTO gets used up!
So you have to make the choice between ever using your (usually very minimal) PTO or coming in sick and proceeding to directly care for people who could straight up DIE if they catch something!
I mean, isn’t that completely ridiculous?? It’s not just me that thinks this is totally unreasonable??
