Advice For Being in a Pickle at Work.

Hello, antiwork. I have found myself in a conundrum, and any advice would be greatly appreciated. I will try to make this story as short as possible. Earlier this year I tore my MCL in my right knee. It took me a month to get a laptop to work from home, but finally it worked out. At the beginning of April I was given the green light to come back into the office. However, after about a month my knee started to hurt on a daily basis. So much so I've been calling in at least once a week for the past four weeks. So, I call my Dr, and advised I am still not 100%.

They gave me a note saying I need to work from home 1-2 days a week. My HR Team said that wasn't specific enough. So, today I was given a much more detailed note.

Here are both notes. The top note is from 05/02/2022, and the second one is from today 05/18/2022.

Today I had a meeting with my HR, and manager. It was determined that my work accommodations can be met here in the office, and working from home isn't the route “we” are going in. Yet I literally have a note from my doctor saying I need to work from home?

I've never been in this situation before, and I don't know what to do. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.
