Advice for requesting fewer hours a week

Hello, I just passed my 90 day mark on a job in Oregon. The probation period is 6months before I get sick time and other union protections though. I work as an RN 40 hours. The work itself is reasonable, pay is reasonable as well, but I am struggling with 4, 10 hour days. I also have some issues with burnout/anxiety that rear up when I don't have enough downtime. TLDR- Question: how would you strategize to ask your manager to go to 30 hours after 90 days of employment? What way would you would frame the question for a better outcome? would you wait until the 6 months probation is over (December?) or look for another internal hire position at other local clinics of the same employer? Thanks!
