Advice for someone who is about to get fired for the first time?

My job just sent an email saying anyone who misses a shift without finding coverage will be fired, and I have to miss a two hour shift this week because of a medical appointment, which I informed them when I first got the schedule (and have had the appointment scheduled since before I even agreed to be available that day of the week, just forgot to request off before they blacked out dates due to thanksgiving). This is a part time job that pays a few dollars over minimum wage in a very expensive area, so not a huge monetary loss, especially since my other job pays me almost enough to live on. I’m just worried it will look super bad to future jobs that I won’t have a reference from my longest employer. So, does anyone have advice for someone who is about to be fired or stories about…
