As titled stated. I work as a Video Producer at marketing companies. I thought I aced both panel interviews after taking time out of my work day TWICE and making a 30 second test edit for their organization.
Got an email saying “ I'm sorry to inform you that we have made the decision to delay filling this position at this time. Thank you again for your time and interest. We wish you the best in your search for a challenging and rewarding career.”
I’m so fucking done man. I am 2 years out of university with YEARA of professional experience and I can’t get a salaried position to save my life. I work 3 jobs just to have wiggle room.
I have applied to well over 400 jobs and I have gotten to final round 9 times then lose, OR I never hear back. Are people even actually hiring? Is this all a sham?
I currently work for a lesser known amusement park but I was able to revamp their entire social pages where out of 16 parks owned by our parent company, we see #3 in social interactions. I am considered their all star and I help other parks media teams plan their content. Me. A 24yr old being paid McDonalds wage. They REFUSE to give me a full time job.
I am instructing losers who make 60k a year to match my content while I make McDonald’s money.
Please someone tell me I need to quit. I need an extra push. I just don’t care anymore. I am going to find a nothingness cubical job where I am a monkey in a machine.
