Had an interview with a remote company for work I’ve done before. They didn’t put a pay range on their posting. The interview was going GREAT up until the end, where the manager asked me what salary I would like. I asked for $55k, which was very reasonable for the work and for my experience. After that, she looked frightened and rushed me off the video call. Said I’d hear back in a week. I thanked her for her time and she fake smiled before hanging up. I thought I was imagining it, but seeing as I haven’t heard back in a few weeks, I think I’ve been dropped.
They probably only pay $30k anyways.
