The dumbest rejection I’ve ever gotten after an interview

So this was years ago but suffice to say, the industry I was interviewing for was one of those “it's entry-level but you need a buttload of paid experience first” kinds of things, but it was the only thing I had any experience at all in, even if it was minimal at best. I go into an interview and I can tell the guy conducting it was smirking and cringing at my answers (I'm a bit awkward but nothing too crazy). His first excuse was “your answers all sounded like they came out of a book about what to say during job interviews.” Um…yeah? What was I supposed to do? Go in cold with no preparation at all? He also said that I used the phrase “let's see” before any sentence, and that was bad. But it wasn't like I was just sitting there going “oh jeez…um…let's see…uh…well…” it was more like “Well let's see, the first thing I'd do in this situation is blah blah blah.” I get that I'm awkward and sometimes I repeat phrases too much like that, but it seems like a lame excuse to reject someone. I feel like he was just trying to find a more PC way of saying “you sound like you have Asperger's and we think you're totally cringey so we don't want you.”
