age care and inappropriate clothing

So I work in admin, I'm not a nurse, ain, I'm not trained in anyway to handle residents nor do I interact with them. I'm not allowed heels or platform shoes, I'm not allowed to wear anything above the knee. I'm 21 I don't have clothes that fit this criteria. I like looking fashionable and business appropriate but a skirt with tights, blouse and heels is inappropriate? My co-worker had to sign a form understanding that she broke company policy regarding clothing for wearing exactly that. She looked fine, like the skirt was just above her knees, either way she had stocking on aswell. I just find it sexist more than anything else. I don't mind wearing pants but I'd enjoy being able to wear a skirt that doesn't make me look awful. I don't have a uniform btw. So is this just something normalised in age care? Should I…
