I'm listening to a podcast about manual therapy, (I'm a massage therapist). I constantly want to scream because I here so many stories about, “how did you get into this niche”. Most of the time it involves someone failing or injuring themselves and taking time off or deciding to go get another degree and I just want to scream.
They never go into where in the fucking world they get the money to keep reinvesting in themselves when something doesn't go the way they thought it would. Yes I'm jealous. I'd love to be able to take time off and think about how I'd be a better use to the world I live in. But I wasn't born in the right income bracket to stop worrying about homelessness enough in order to do that.
