I thought I got the golden ticket a couple months ago. Found an hvac Helper job with seemingly a good guy.
Told me pretty much everything I wanted to hear. “He only laid off people during covid” which was a lie “We don’t do dirty or attic work” which was a lie too. A bunch of other stuff too. Told me about one guy who used to skip work and go fishing the guy turned out to be his old business partner.
He made it seem like he could keep people too, but literally every day I hear about a new helper he had that was a dumbass no good fucker. Literally not one has been alright.
I’m figuring out why besides ac stuff he can’t teach worth shit. He’ll tell me to do something I’ve never done before. Me personally I like failing and learning from my mistakes. But when this guy wastes time watching me struggle on his dollar I think it’s ridiculous when all he had to do in the first place was show me.
I work in literally the most messiest work truck/ trailer I’ve ever seen. If it was organized even the slightest the job would be done an hour faster.
Also don’t get me started on this guys god like ego, I’ve never met someone so full of themselves. Acts like he’s this tradesman god when I see him not know much shit outside of hvac. He is like a narcissist or something I don’t get it. Every conversation is about him and I’m like “idc so I’ll nod my head”. Also a major trump supporter and racist.
Also he did an install this weekend with another person I believe. I bring my impact which is dewalt and he refuses to touch it. It’s all beat like someone used it as a hammer. Which if that wasn’t mine I wouldn’t care but that’s my personal tool. This was the probably the last line. My grandfather was a millwright used his tools every day and still has them they look almost new and try to do that too.
Anyways I’m thinking about screwing him over and leaving without notice on his vacation he has coming up. This guy singlehanded drove my interest from not only hvac and the trades away.
I’ve also worked for/ with old mean mfers before but I never minded it this guy just is the worst
