so i just started training to be a line tech at an ABA clinic (basically doing behavioral therapy for autistic kids). first of all, i didn’t even have to interview for the job; they gave to me as soon as i applied on linkedin (ps. i have no experience doing ABA therapy, just a bachelor’s degree). they have been very bad at communicating with me about the start time of my job – i had to message the lady who gave me the job on linkedin to ask when i’m supposed to start.
i started training yesterday and found out that apparently we will all be on call therapists, which apparently means that we won’t know if we’re supposed to come in until the day of (????). when i spoke to the lady who hired me on the phone briefly, she told me i could work full time and that’s what i was expecting. plus, a therapist told me she was promised a raise a month ago and still hasn’t gotten it.
my training has been very lazy and i feel like nobody in this center actually cares about the kids. this job is only for the summer so i don’t know if i should just suck it up and stay (i already bought my scrubs and everything) or just go work at starbucks lol. what do y’all think, are these really red flags or am i just being dramatic?
