So, I’m currently in law school. Almost a year ago I applied for a job with Goldman Sachs to do something in the hard finances instead of law. I heard back from them and it sounded like they wanted to do an interview. It wasn’t a real interview, it was one of those pre-recorded things where you answer very broad non-specific questions. I know I didn’t do well because I’ve done a few of those before and have trouble with that format. I also just find those things incredibly disrespectful because I personally believe if I am supposed to put in the time for something, so should my employer. After the interview they had a questionnaire and I was honest about my perception of the process being unprofessional.
I’m currently working business litigation and public sector financial regulation (bouncing on weekends) to make ends meat with no post graduate job lined up for after the bar exam. Did I fuck up?
