Am I being childish and petty?

I’ll try to make this short. I’ve been here eight years and I kick ass at my job. A higher position has been open since April and when it came open I offered to take on the new job while continuing my current one. Not a popular idea-ok, not hard feelings. Months and shit candidates later, my boss again convinces me to apply. The reason I didn’t before is because I really love my job, but after realizing I could take some of that work me, I applied. Fast forward-received a request complete a digital interview. As in, I have to do that pre-recorded crap and I find it insulting. Interview me in person-great. But everyone knows me and the quality of my work. Why should I have to go through this crap? I am not comfortable with my photograph being taken or being recorded because I feel hideous, tbh.…

I just won’t do it and if it means I don’t get the job, fuck it. If I’m asked about it by the big boss, I’ll be honest. I can’t tell you the number of jobs created and people places into the lm without so much as a job posting (public sector, btw).

Petty, childish, or justified?
