I work as a behavioral therapist with kids who have Autism. It's a clinic environment. I love the kids, but it is not an easy job. Eight hours a day, kids are screaming and some are aggressive. The supervisors do very little actual work, but are quick to micromanage us about not doing enough chores after work and not adhering to the dress code. We get no breaks during the day, just a half hour lunch. We have to have a coworker watch our kid just to go to the bathroom. I love this field, but I'm badly burnt out. Would any of you guys live like this for $19 an hour? I quit today and was told they want a month's notice first.
