My coworker and I both work 40 hours a week. A month ago he went on paternity leave and left me with all of it. I did his and my duties in 60 hours, for 2 and a half weeks, with gaps when I couldn't complete something by myself.
Now that my male counterpart is back my manager is telling me I made 2 mistakes, and that I'm being put on a performance plan until my performance improves. Meanwhile, co-worker is calling in sick twice a week with baby stuff. I took the entire 4 day weekend and they blew up my phone to the point where I had to remove all the work apps.
Fast forward to today and they're acting like nothing happened.
I have a job interview today, I told them I was taking the time for a serious doctor appointment. I aimed low so I'm pretty positive I'll get it. Does anyone have any tips for mental health and self care through this process? Leverage?
I know they would fire me in a heartbeat if they could, but with unemployment at 3.5% and the employee running the place already acts his wage, they are stuck. ( )
