I just realized I do some pretty capitalistic and less than environmentally friendly to make ends meet and funnel money into the stocks/bonds system so that my “savings account” grows at about 10% annually instead of .06% through traditional savings account, even a high yield savings account is only at .7%. I also have money going into bonds which yield about 2-5% annually. I race cars on tracks so that I have enough money to live for the month, I’m currently buying vending machines and selling snacks, although for more than what I want to sell them, it comes back to I need to make ends meet.
Before you make your decision, I have 3 kids, and I’m 100% disabled and unable to hold a traditional job, I have to have something we’re I can pay people enough to do the right thing when I can’t manage my business, for whatever reason, and I want to build a work environment where everyone’s friends and it’s not toxic, and I plan to stop doing what I’m doing (other than racing, but I’d drastically lower the amount of racing I do to maybe a once a month thing because I’m really good and I really enjoy it). But although my money is technically legal, am I breaking moral or ethical codes to try and just survive?
