AMA – I am a “senior manager, reward” (=HR specialisation that looks after employee compensation, benefits and recognition)

I thought it might be useful to share my knowledge and experience with this sub, as I've been a fan for some time now. I work in Reward (compensation, benefits and recognition) for a global company in the financial/fintech sector. I mainly cover EMEA (60%) and APAC (30%), but also a bit of the US (10%). Before that, I worked for a few heavily operational businesses (i.e. with a lot of so-called “blue-collar” employees). And even before starting my HR career, I was an operational manager for many years.

I also was a union rep for 4 years, and later in my career sat at a negotiating table with the unions on behalf of the employer. So I am very familiar with both sides.

I'm happy to bust any myths, provide information that most people would not have any opportunity to obtain otherwise, lift the curtain so-to-speak on all things Reward, or just share my opinion on any subject.
