There is so much to lose in this round of elections- I live in TX and we have EIGHT state reps (all Republicans) who automatically won their races because they ran unopposed. Our ballot is 18 pages long. We moved here from Colorado last summer and I lost multiple rights crossing the state line. Roe is overturned, yet we still have voter turnout numbers lower than the past four years.
I grew up in this area and have heard all the disgusting things republicans say to each other at church, on vacations, at holidays, and at the workplace. I’ve never missed voting in an election because every person I know making the most horrific comments possible vote in every single race & election.
I am begging, fucking pleading, for people to show up today. Please, for the love of science & humanity, please vote. Just fucking vote.
