My bf works in retail. He usually has Saturday and Sundays off although he’s occasionally called in on those days to cover someone who is sick. A couple of days ago he was told by the owner/his boss that he’s expected to work both Xmas eve (Sat) and Boxing Day (a stat holiday). And he refuses to give him any days in lieu of. So he’s going to be spending LESS time with his family (me included) for the holidays than he would on a regular weekend. Bah humbug!
