I’m not a huge fan of my boss. My company makes 100s of millions a year, yet he is still cheap. I’m head of IT and network security. We specialize in automation and have been busy with restaurant R&D lately, so the money has been rolling in. We got decent raises recently, but now without telling anyone, he just gave huge bonuses for anyone who drives. Those in the office got $5000 and those on the shop floor got $2000. This is to alleviate the increased cost of fuel for commuters. We get a nice bonus at Christmas, but this sudden ‘fuel bonus’ was a huge surprise. I’m still not a huge fan of his management style, but inflation is getting so bad, that even he has taken action. Anyone else getting raises or bonuses for fuel? Hopefully this is a new trend.
