2018: I'm on lunch so close the door to my cubicle and set my messenger on “away” (it was an office with 2 doors and a partition).
There's a knock, so with my cell phone to my ear I answer to indicate I'm on break and on a personal call. My boss reminds me of something, and I say I'll definitely do it when I'm off lunch.
A minute later, another knock. Same person. A different reminder.
When she knocks again in a minute, I say loud enough to be heard, “And this is why I sit in my car during lunch.”
My boss told me one more thing, and I made a physical note in front of her, grabbed my jacket, and walked out.
