Another one of those job interviews.

I applied at this restaurant ad on Indeed and I got a message from the manager rather quickly. Ad makes it seem that the tips are good and they need people. Small chain restaurant, manager asked me if I could come in today. Said sure. I got there, they made me fill an application, manager was polite. Just packing food orders. We finish the interview and she is calling the supervisor to interview me. Same questions, all good, then she comes to the schedule. And she goes, “Well, I definitely need someone the weekends to cover the other employees' off days. We are already overstaffed and can't do customized schedules.” I asked her why they post on Indeed that they are short-staffed and are hiring 5 candidates. She was just thinking what to say, then she said how important her employees are and because they have seniority, they must be…

I asked her why they post on Indeed that they are short-staffed and are hiring 5 candidates. She was just thinking what to say, then she said how important her employees are and because they have seniority, they must be getting x day off. I guess she would only need me for the weekends and no other hours. Bummer.
