Been at a new job for a while and I discovered this reddit a few months ago and honestly it has made me feel less insane about my work career. Been trying to make it in my industry for years accepting low pay and being treated terribly. My current place of work hasnt been great and its been really tough on my mental health. I always thought I was all alone in this pain but this subreddit has really made me realize we are all going through some tough things. And we all know it needs to be fixed and that brings me comfort.
Yesterday I started looking for a new job and a recruiter got back to me today to reach out and that took a huge weight off my chest. I was really feeling hopeless the past few weeks. So it was nice anyone thought i was worth reaching out to. Reading all the support given to people on this thread and what people go through makes me realize I don't want to settle on bad work environments anymore. And this subreddit makes me want to rally for better work environments. I hope everyone struggling right now finds there peace and happy place.
