Is it just me or has there been an increase in the amount of these stupid reels by these venture capitalist types telling you about “side hustles” or “how to attain financial freedom”? I'm sick of seeing them and its infuriating.
And also how interesting that so many videos on this subject are on social media run by capitalists and that 99% of these sorts of videos tell you (in some way or another) to invest in real estate or the stock market or work 2-3 jobs (aka SIGMA GRINDSET), etc and somehow that will make you be part of the owning class. This really annoyes me. All I just want to watch are some cat videos or some memes to make me laugh a bit but instead I am fed hyper capitalist propaganda meant to persuade an increasingly desperate working class and/or make me depressed about where shit is heading.
But the irony of what would actually achieve “financial freedom” would be to implement a federal living wage act, medicare for all, free public college and literally any investment into helping the masses of the general public through social programs which is AKA not capitalism.
