Anybody have any good options?

I didn't know exactly where to post this, but I'm hoping maybe some of you can help me out. Here's some background: I started teaching in 2002 and that has been my career since then. For the past 5 or 6 years, I've been desperate to figure out a different career because I would have to teach another 15 years (after this school year) to be able to “fully retire” through my state employee retirement system. I mean, in a way, I have a sort of easy job but now I'm teaching middle school and I'm struggling to get through every day. I'm still fairly young (44), I've always been really good with photography and anything technical (computers, etc.), and I have a MA in Information and Learning Technologies. I've thought about trying to go into something in IT, but really haven't started anything with that stuff yet. Do…

Do you guys have any suggestions for a career that wouldn't involve having to deal with too many people that I could basically self-teach myself (or do an internship/apprenticeship in the summer) to get started? I'm making about $63k/year right now, so it would also be nice to figure out something I could start making that much in the first couple of years or so and, hopefully, way more in the long run. Being able to work remotely would be SUPER cool since I would love to travel when I “retire” and it would be cool to get a head start on that travelling while working. I would appreciate any insights some of you might have!
