I have to slave at an always-busy store for 72 hours to afford 1 month of rent. 72 whole goddamn hours of fast, stressful work. I kill my soul for 8 hours a day and walk away with $110, coming from an office job (I just moved) I feel like retail is a wasted day, and literally I could take a week off and only lose $500 of wages, that's like 2 Command Strips. It's crazy how these jobs mean you have to work hard 24/7 just to survive and nothing more. Also boring as Fuuck. 8 hours is a long time standing at a register scanning grapes.
(I make $16.5/hr at Target and rent is $1200)
