Anyone else had a recruiter ask you personal questions and get offended when you call them out on it?

As the title suggest, I had a recruiter phone me recently and proceed to ask me a load of questions. Most of these were about experience qualifications etc. His final questions was are you married. When I told him this is a personal question and has no bearing on my ability to do the job, he got offended and said he was 'just trying to get to know me as a person' and 'won't ask me anymore questions as he doesn't want to offend me'. I've experienced this on more than one occasion
