Antiwork

Anyone else notice that even after you get a decent job and don’t have to live paycheck to paycheck, that you stay in that awful mindset of being too frugal despite the fact that it’s more frustrating?

It’s been 5 years and I’m getting better but I want to stop caring. I just got work done on my car, $700. In the past for me (and presently for 1/2 of all Americans) that would have been a huge Economic blow to me. Now it isn’t but that didn’t stop me from huffing and puffing about it. Working shit jobs with shit bosses for almost two decades really fucked with my head. Being frugal isn’t fun or endearing at all to me, it feels like being poor and I don’t like it at all.
