Anyone else think donating blood/plasma is humiliating? At Houchin, they’re giving away fair tickets for donating, if it’s so important/life changing, why not give a decent amount of $?

I looked into it due to working full time but still coming up short. I couldn’t believe donating blood meant nothing in return, and $100 for plasma. You donate for free and they don’t give it away for free Not surprised, sadly though. And to think people proudly display their X gallon club bumper stickers. “Look at how exploited I was, go me!” They’re volunteering, I get it, but don’t you think volunteering workers are exploited? Since they’re doing it for free when they could get paid? Why pay if they don’t have to? Sort of like why raise the minimum wage if they don’t have to?
