I always turn to Reddit in a time of need. Hearing about the news of Roe v Wade today makes me truly sick. Under no circumstance should a woman have to result to using unsafe and hazardous ways to terminate a pregnancy. As a woman it’s disgusting to have my body not only be sexualized but controlled by old white men who really believe it’s okay to tell me what I can and cannot do with my own body.
This is where I come to you for help. We strike. We don’t work, we don’t stop and get gas, we don’t contribute to society til they realize that it’s literally half the population they’re trying to control. We make it known how detrimental it is to us to have our rights ripped away from us. How truly damaging it would be to the country if half the population did not participate in everyday tasks, which would definitely create the collapse of a country.
When I was younger, I thought that suicide would have been an easier if I could not have access to an abortion (I was 16 and have a VERY conservative father). Think about the children who have been raped by their family members, some not even knowing that sex even leads to a pregnancy. Or those who suffer from drug abuse, not wanting to bring a child into this world already addicted to heroin, and want to be sure they are better themselves before taking care of a newborn baby. Not to mention those who physically cannot give birth to a child, resulting in the mothers death and abortion being the only thing that could have saved them. What about incest? Too young and too curious, just to find out they’re pregnant and have a baby that has too many complications for it to have a safe and healthy life.
This affects a mass population of the USA and I feel like the only time people are truly upset about it is if it’s in the news. I wish we could have done something sooner but if there was a time to, it’s now.

This needs to stop. Please spread some kind of word that we need to strike. If some of this is illegible I apologize, I’ve had Covid for the passed 4 days and I haven’t slept for the passed two.
