I work from desk at a very large hotel. My availability open is for morning shift (7-3) and Night Shift (3-11) Monday-Saturday. Sunday is the only day I ask not to be scheduled. My partner is in graduate school and is gone most of the day during the week day, and has limited free time during the weekend, so if I work both weekend days then we will not see each other for the entire week despite living together, so I ask for one weekend day off. I told them I don’t need to have my two days off in a row, but I must have Sunday’s off.
I have been scheduled on Sunday for the last 2 weeks. I reminded them of my availability and said I would not be coming
In. Today my manager pulled me aside and said me needing sundays off was becoming a problem. I told him that’s too bad because I have another job (I don’t). Seriously? Im available for most of the week and you can’t accommodate one day off?
I hate customer service so so much.
