Apparently I was doing the work of two people.

Throwaway for the most part. So. I’ve been working in a very busy veterinary surgery service for the last two and a half years. I’ve grown a lot in this position. The animals are the only ones who make it worth it. Recently, I’ve made the decision to move my family away from our current situation. I submitted my formal resignation two weeks ago. I gave four weeks, because I’m a nice guy. Today, I was browsing around our job openings. When I got to my position it stated two positions were open. Maybe it was a typo? So I go ask my manager what’s up with that. She promptly says, “you were very kind to us and worked very hard. However, I don’t think any one person is able to do your job.” While i give them credit for looking out for the new guys, where was my extra…

I suppose I can just sum it up to: screw them. I worked hard and got fucked over. They rung me out like a wet dish towel.

On the plus side, I got some super good letters of recommendation for the next place…. If I decide to stay in this type of work.
