Why is it, that every single job you apply for nowadays, requires you to complete some 30 minute questionnaire, just to speak to a hiring manager, just to be scheduled for an ACTUAL interview with the store manager? What happened to submitting a resume, meeting qualifications, scheduling an interview, and finding out if they'll hire you within a week? It seems like everywhere I've applied to, it's been weeks to months before I even find out if they're considering me, or able to start training. I applied for Apple in JUNE and after 3 interviews and many meetings with managers, I'm still waiting for training, because their hiring process is “frozen.” Even for less glamorous jobs, it's taking months for employers to just reach out and tell me they're interested. This is excruciating. Everyone is “hiring now”, but you can't start for another 2 months. All this jumping through hoops just to make a barely liveable wage. Wtf is going on?
