Applying for new jobs after working retail for 3 weeks.

I work at a gas station for the third shift on single coverage. I get paid minimum wage, and I don’t get a lunch break. I was okay with that when signing up… but my boss is so difficult to work for. I work constantly for my entire shift, but I sit for 20 min mid shift to rest my legs. She checks the camera when she comes into work so she can find things to be upset about. I should also add I also work a day job. I work 12-14 hours a day. I own my own business. I make enough money off the business to survive, but not flourish. I’m really tired of feeling like I’m walking on eggshells at my new job. I’m working the most dangerous job and shift (statistically) for literal poverty wages. Again, I was okay with that… but not if it means…

I’m really tired of feeling like I’m walking on eggshells at my new job. I’m working the most dangerous job and shift (statistically) for literal poverty wages. Again, I was okay with that… but not if it means I’m not allowed to sit for 20 min to relax my body. She made me sign off on a piece of paper today that says I’m acknowledging that I’m not allowed to sit down or stand around doing nothing. I signed it to avoid conflict, but I’m pissed. I’m waiting for her to say something to my face, because I might explode. I do really like the job though because I’m alone all night and I only see my manager for 30 min at most.

She doesn’t even say goodbye back to me when I leave for the day. She huffs and finds all sorts of things to be upset about. Might I add I was only trained for 2 days and then I was left on my own to figure things out. My first red flag should have been the interview. She told me the girl I was replacing just stopped showing up to work altogether. Apparently she has made several young employees cry by exploding on them. I guess she also refuses overtime pay, even when people work overtime. Super illegal.

I consistently get out of work 15 min late because I do part of the first shift’s job because they don’t want to do it and they make me do it.

I get talked to for not knowing something I wasn’t trained for.

Idk what to do. Might just stop showing up or I might wait for an official write up so I can take it to the labor board.
