Now that cannabis is becoming recreational in many states, how are companies looking at positive screens for cannabis use?
I have been out of work for a year now and I am trying to return to the workforce. Recreational use will be legal in my state in just a few short months. If I try to get a job and I test positive, would that company still hire me? Surely they should look at it the same way as alcohol, right?
Can anyone shed some light on this? Any insight on how this works would be great to know? Does it vary by company or job?
