It just seems like no matter where you work in the corporate world you are still expected to respond to emails beyond 5pm and before 9am. I want my boundaries and I’m really sick of the try hards that ruin work culture for everyone else. We’re all salaried but those who choose to come early and stay late, work thru lunch and respond to emails instantly during non office hours. You know those types. They piss me off. They have no life outside of work. They are proud to be busy. My coworkers are in their late 30’s and early 40’s and they make excuses for why don’t have time to date, they don’t have hobbies, they don’t spend time with family or have any pets….which is just sad. That’s great- make tons of money but go ahead die alone. GET A FUCKING LIFE!!!
I also just interviewed for a few different jobs so that I can leave this hellhole company, one hiring manager bragged about working Saturdays to feel more accomplished…. oh go fuck yourself.
