Everyone at work is complaining that the union is here and they have a contract to make everything worse.
A coworker just told me “hope you like long hours with low pay and a cut to your wages, that's what unions do.”
I've read tons of books on labor unions and the like and I thought they were supposed to make things better? This sub never provides a good answer when I ask it about unions.
Even one of my freinds was saying unions are against labor, and that if the tesla workers unionized that it'd lead to at least a half cut in wages and double the amount of overtime. Then he praised Elon musk for being a hero.
In my opinion, if those claims are true, unions are pretty useless and awful to the working class.
