“As a general rule you shouldn’t have breakfast before starting work. Obviously if you’re about to faint that’s a different matter”

I'm in a hotel in the back end of nowhere for work, and had to start work before hotel breakfast opened. When I brought this up my boss was mindblown that I might want to eat before a 12 hour shift. She's going to give me training on “expectations” when I'm back in the office fml, she said normally people don't eat until lunchtime when working and the only exception is if you're about to faint. But it's FINE because there's free tea and coffee available and that should be enough to keep me going until lunch. Fml fml fml fml
