I want to start by saying, I am not against the activities in this sub, in fact after only recently learning about it I am trying to understand the sentiment a bit better. For background, I am an immigrant in this country and absolutely love it. I am a believer that it is the best country in the world.
However, I understand it may not the be the case for everyone. I keep hearing about how other countries offer the lifestyle you all want, so why is leaving the country not an option? People from all over the world struggle for years to come to America, why can't Americans leave their country? I am not attacking, just genuinely curious why this isn't an option in this globalized world. I came to America because it offers what I want, why not do the same if you like other countries?

Edit after reading responses: So based on people's responses, I'm getting the sense that it is not easy to move to these countries as they have strict immigration laws compared to the US, and that is why many people come here vs. the other way.
