“Ask employees to chip in towards company parties”

We had an “emergent” company wide meeting. Except the only ones who get this info are the ones who are corporate. Sucks for the field employees and call center….but I digress. The company had a case with the governing commission board go bad. And then they let us little people know that because they spent money they didn't actually have we now don't get to backfill positions, we have to fire contractors, and take on the burden of the workload without overtime… The most ridiculous part was, instead of cutting bonuses for the executives, they're cutting out any employee benefits like holiday parties, safety breakfasts, lunch on company time, etc. The CEO, with his full chest, said employees should “chip in” towards the expense of the parties. Oh! And they renovated the skyscraper that literally nobody uses so now they're requiring us to come in one day a week instead…
