As the title I guess. I am applying for a new job due to my current boss being up themselves. I am a manager myself. I have already been asked to an interview tomorrow. However, I am concerned I walk into a similar environment (love the job, hate the boss). So is it too cheeky for me to ask for references of my potential new boss before accepting any position with them? The same way they'd ask for referees for me?
