Long story short my wife and I recently moved into this home in North Ogden to rent
Signed the lease, we like the house, everything is going well
The toilets utterly stopped working today and toilet water was bubbling up into the bath tub
Apparently the landlord decides to tell us this is just a thing that happens every now and then
The plumber comes out and cannot fix it, requires some serious equipment and was told they can come out later this evening
The landlord is dragging his feet and has postponed this appointment until 11/22
We may or may not have working toilets by then. We have been recommended to not use our toilets and we have no clue if this landlord is going to be willing to pay for this
My question is is can someone ELI5 Utah Tenant Rights
What I can acquire to protect myself and what laws this guy may be violating
These toilets will likely not work for the next two weeks until we can have these people come out
My wife and I are scared and have no clue how to handle this. Any advice is appreciated
